Electrical Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Summary: Under general supervision, performs advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning of machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, hydraulic systems, pumps, conveyor systems, and production machines, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments. Understands the operation of Die Cast processes and related equipment. Works independently and provides leadership to the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Performs reactive and planned maintenance, diagnosing issues, dismantling devices, repairing or replacing parts, and testing performance.
2. Acts as a project manager, analyzing failures and recommending solutions. Builds and troubleshoots electrical panels to NFPA/NEC standards.
3. Provides leadership and assistance to lower-level technicians.
4. Supports safety programs, participates in safety meetings, investigates incidents, conducts audits, and implements corrective actions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None, but may train or lead lower-level employees.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience requirements vary; not mandatory for entry-level.

Skills and Abilities:

• Adheres to safety procedures.
• Team player, organized, self-motivated, able to prioritize.
• Computer literate; experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office preferred.
• Knowledge of PLCs, diagnostics, programming, and documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills.
• Knowledge of specific machinery and systems (e.g., Die Cast machines, hydraulic systems, robots, cranes, etc.).
• Welding, rigging, equipment moving skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and booms.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
