Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support our client’s operations in Vereeniging. You will maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, install and commission equipment, and ensure safe operation across plant processes.

Ideal candidates have a trade qualification as an Electrician, at least 3 years’ industrial/oil and gas experience, and familiarity with PLCs and automation. This hybrid role offers flexibility and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as an Electrician or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in an industrial or oil and gas environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, and power distribution systems.
• Experience with PLC systems and industrial automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of electrical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Install and commission new electrical systems and equipment according to specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
