Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Panama City, FL seeks a licensed or working toward electrician for residential service. You will perform maintenance, inspections and respond to emergencies with OT/on-call availability.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, completed Total Tech or equivalent, and a valid driver's license; strong customer service, organization, and blueprint-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Total Tech or electrical training program completed or in progress.
• State Electrical License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a care culture.
• Perform electrical maintenance on residential electrical systems.
• Be available for overtime and on-call status to respond to electrical emergencies.
• Perform thorough electrical inspections and communicate findings with customers.
• Follow state laws and local building codes.
• Prepare detailed finding reports with pictures for discussion with customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Create a care culture
• Create a positive customer experience by completing electrical maintenance on residential Electrical according to Hiller’s standards
• Be available for overtime and on-call status to respond immediately to electrical emergencies
• Perform a thorough and accurate Electrical inspection including Health and Safety Checklist and communicate findings to the customer
• Follow state laws and regulations and adhere to local building codes
• When issues are identified, prepare a detailed finding report with pictures to discuss with the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• State Electrical License preferred or working towards
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Complete Total Tech or other Electrical training school
• A valid driver’s license and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier
• Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through
• Possess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
• Team player working in a team environment
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
• Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS

Physical Requirements

• Work in indoor/outdoor elements with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) at least 70% of the time
• Climb ladders and steep stairs. Majority of time spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching. Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices)
• Occasionally works from heights 15 feet or higher above ground
• Carry 24 ft extension ladder alone and/or 40 ft extension ladder with a fellow coworker on most jobs
• Have good visual acuity
