Job summary

Danieli Corporation is seeking an ELECTRICIAN for the Ashland, KY Service Center. You will troubleshoot and maintain complex electrical and mechanical systems across equipment in a steelmaking environment.

Candidates should have a two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology and hands-on experience with motors, PLCs, drives, sensors, and distribution systems. Strong safety commitment and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology.
• Read electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components / inverters.
• Hands-on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, actuators experience.
• Hands-on Power distribution systems maintenance.
• Hands-on PLC systems building, programming, troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, solo or in a team.
• Install, maintain, modify, machine setup, repairs including electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
• Based in the Ashland, KY Service Center and perform duties to keep machinery properly maintained.

Responsibilities

Electrician must be committed to their own personal safety as well as the safety of others around them. Electrician are required to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, while working individually or as a part of a team with other maintenance personnel in the following areas: electronic instrumentations/DCS, electrical distribution, pneumatic/hydraulic control systems and control valves

Electrician will be based in the Ashland, KY Service Center and will perform a wide range of tasks to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained.

Some of the main tasks include:

• Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.
• Conduct installation, maintenance, and modification, machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, including but not limited to, electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Skills:

• Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Skilled in the use of tools, machines and testing instruments used in the repair and overhaul of steelmaking plant equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the basic operating principles of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic/vacuum systems and components.

Qualifications:

• Two-year degree in industrial electrical maintenance technology
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components / inverters
• Proven hands-on AC & DC motors and drives, sensors, and actuators experience
• Proven hands-on experience with Power distribution systems maintenance
• Proven hands-on PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment with the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID's

Maintenance experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a steelmaking plant with arc furnace, casting, or rolling maintenance experience
