Job summary

Danieli Group, a global leader in metal industry technology, seeks an experienced Production Project Manager for its Danieli Service Center in Ashland, KY. You will monitor schedules and quality of refurbishment projects, coordinating with Sales, Proposal Engineers, and Production teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements include 2+ years in workflow management within a machine/fabrication shop, willingness to work in a steel service center environment, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and expediting workflow across machining, fabrication, and assembly teams to ensure parts availability

• Monitor internal systems for manufacturing needs and report discrepancies to Planning Department
• Issue technical specifications and material requests for manufacturing activities
• Procure and interpret drawings to support shop workforce
• Maintain a database of electronic project documentation

Responsibilities

The Production - Project Manager is responsible for monitoring schedule and quality compliance of workflow throughout the Workshop during refurbishment of equipment. Regularly interfaces with the Sales Group, Sales Proposal Engineer, and the Production Department. This position is within our Danieli Service Center located in Ashland, KY, and reports directly to the Manufacturing Planning and Process Engineering - Manager.

Tasks and Day-to-Day Activities in the role:

• Monitor and/or ensure, expediting the activities, that each Manufacturing team (Machining, Fabrication, Assembly) have available in their respective area all the parts needed to execute the scope of duty.
• Ensure that each Manufacturing team (Machining, Fabrication, Assembly) has available in their respective area all the proper documentation in advance to their needs.
• Ensure that each Manufacturing area (Machining, Fabrication, Assembly) has in their respective and/or assigned area all the necessary information related to the Plan, Targets and General information. If needed update.
• Supporting on replanning job activities and/or sharing of documentation and/or meeting reports.
• Monitor the internal system information related to manufacturing needs.
• Monitor and report to the Planning Department and Workshop management any discrepancy between what required and what discover/happen.
• Issuing technical specification and/or Material Request for activities related to Manufacturing.
• Procure and interpret drawings as needed in support of the shop workforce
• Maintain database of electronic documentation for each project

Technical Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in managing workflow in a machine or fabrication shop environment
• Willingness to work in a Steel Industry Service Center environment
• Willing to travel within different Company and Customer Facilities.

Soft Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a "Team Player" mindset
• Expert mechanical problem solver with strong analytical thinking skills
• Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
