Job summary
Avery Dennison is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair 480V electrical systems, motors, drives and PLC-controlled equipment in a manufacturing setting. This night-shift role demands a problem-solver who goes beyond part replacement to ensure long-term reliability.
The candidate will perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, and collaborate with engineers to improve uptime.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years industrial maintenance experience with strong electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Experience troubleshooting 480V electrical systems, motors, drives and control panels.
- PLC troubleshooting experience; programming not required.
Responsibilities
- Expert Troubleshooting: Locate and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures using meters, prints and schematics.
- Electrical Mastery: Repair and maintain high-voltage systems (480V), motors, switches and automated controls.
- PLC Diagnostic: Use PLC knowledge to identify issues; programming not required.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform planned maintenance on conveyors and production machinery.
- Safe Operations: Follow Arc Flash safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and production to reduce downtime.
