Qualifications

• One year related work experience.
• Working knowledge of building construction or maintenance practices; safety procedures relevant to the trade.
• Substitution rule: 30 college credits may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an unskilled helper to electric shop personnel and maintenance mechanics in maintenance and repair work.
• Gather, organize, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
• Pull wires, bend and install conduit, and mount electrical boxes and fixtures.
• Drill holes, cut openings, and perform basic construction tasks as directed.
• Test electrical systems and equipment using basic tools under supervision.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Completes simple reports reflecting status of assigned maintenance projects.
