Job summary

Afton Chemical seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance team at our Sauget, Illinois facility, minutes from downtown St. Louis.

You will guide a skilled union workforce, strengthen plant reliability, and partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to reduce downtime and ensure safe, continuous operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop electrical and instrumentation maintenance employees.
• Champion safety through training, engagement, inspections, and corrective action follow-up.
• Coordinate planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and reliability improvement activities.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical and instrumentation systems.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled union workforce, strengthen plant reliability, support critical manufacturing operations, and advance a culture of safety. The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor partners closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams to solve technical challenges, develop employees, reduce downtime, and deliver reliable performance within a continuous-process manufacturing environment.

Candidates from chemical manufacturing, refining, power generation, food and beverage manufacturing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, and other industrial manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
