Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or BS/BA completed by Aug 2027.
• 0–2 years engineering experience, preferably in industrial/chemical manufacturing.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor with guidance from senior engineers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Follow Bayer electrical norms, practices, and procedures; stay updated with industry standards.
• Support improvement projects including safety, yield, capacity, quality, reliability, and cost.
• Specify instruments, control devices, motors, and other electrical components for plant use.
• Review vendor information for instrumentation and electrical components.
• Prepare maintenance plans to restore equipment quickly while balancing cost and reliability.
• Assist other engineers and technicians with instrumentation and electrical performance.
• Create and modify documentation including electrical drawings and P&ID diagrams.
• Engage in staff development and safety coaching in the workplace.
• Support Site and Area Production System improvements and perform basic electrical maintenance as needed.
