Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or BS/BA completed by August 2027.
• 0–2 years engineering experience, preferably in industrial or chemical manufacturing.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems and their application in process operations.
• Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor while accepting significant direction from experienced engineers.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with root cause analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
• Commitment to working safely and supporting a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Follow Bayer electrical norms, standards, and procedures while staying current with industry standards and safety methods.
• Support improvement projects including cost-benefit analyses for safety, yield, capacity, quality, reliability, and cost.
• Specify instruments, control devices, motors, and other electrical components for plant applications.
• Review vendor information for instrumentation and electrical components for suitability.
• Prepare maintenance plans to restore equipment quickly while balancing repair cost and future failures.
• Assist other engineers and technicians with instrumentation and electrical performance guidance.
• Create and modify electrical documentation and P&ID diagrams; ensure environmental and safety compliance.
• Engage in coaching and safety improvements; contribute to site safety culture.
