Job summary

Atkins & Pearce is seeking a Mechanic Level 2 in Covington, KY to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust machinery with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. The role supports production by maintaining safe, reliable equipment and performing preventive maintenance per schedules.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in industrial maintenance (mechanical and basic electrical), a HS diploma/GED, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical trade school or formal electrical training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and basic electrical).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Lockout/tagout certification.
• OSHA 3 basic certification (electrical safety, machine guarding, PPE).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery with emphasis on electrical systems.
• Perform machine changeovers per specification sheets.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules; replace or upgrade parts.
• Adjust equipment for proper tension, setup, and performance.
• Assemble new machinery and retrofit existing equipment.
• Disassemble and store machines as required.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and controls on machinery.
• Install or replace wiring, relays, switches, motors, and related components.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
• Support other departments and maintenance needs as required.
• Demonstrate teamwork, attendance, and effective communication.
