Altium Packaging in Sparta, Tennessee is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, repair, install and maintain electrical/electronic systems on production equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, PLC programming, mold changes, welding and preventive maintenance, with overtime possible to meet business needs.

Qualified candidates have basic math and computer skills, ability to read English instructions, excellent communication, and a licensed electrician certification

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Basic computer experience.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, forms, and memos in English.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Limited Licensed Electrician certification.
• Ability to become forklift certified within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical systems, electrical power supply and control circuits.
• Repair blow molders, baggers and support equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems.
• Perform mold, pin and other mechanical changes.
• Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
• Perform hydraulic checks and changes on valves, hoses and pumps.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments for efficient operation.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
