Job summary

Altium Packaging in Hebron, Kentucky is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic II to inspect, repair, install, modify and maintain electrical/electronic systems and production equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting PLCs and robotics, reading blueprints and schematics, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to minimize downtime while following GMPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3–5 years’ maintenance and electrical experience.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and forms in English.
• May require OSHA forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems and production equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and facility.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, and electrical circuits; read blueprints and schematics.
• Maintain machines in optimal processing condition; follow GMPs.
• Coordinate with departments to improve repair efficiency and uptime.

Duties Of The Job

The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic II will inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic systems, circuits and other production equipment.

perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on, plant equipment, production machinery and facility. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
• Experience in Plastic Blow Molding preferred
• Install electrical circuits including troubleshooting on voltage 480, 277, 220, 120.
• Troubleshoot, program and repair Robotics
• Troubleshoot and Program PLC systems
• Read and interprets blueprints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, electrical power supply and control circuits.
• Troubleshoot, locate root problems and repair blow molders, baggers & support equipment.
• Perform mold, pin and other mechanical changes.
• Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
• Perform hydraulic checks and changes on valves, hoses and pumps.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all related equipment.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Solicit information and feedback from other departments toward repair and efficient operation of machines.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
