Job summary

Hunter International in Newark, OH, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Lead to guide electrical maintenance operations for a large manufacturing facility. You will lead a unionized maintenance team, drive safety, and enhance equipment reliability while partnering with Production to improve overall plant performance.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and experience with DCS/PLC systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading unionized hourly employees.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of electrical maintenance operations and routine maintenance of plant equipment.
• Promote a safe, clean, and environmentally compliant work environment, including risk assessments, incident follow-up, hazard identification, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, power-system performance, and maintenance costs.
• Monitor maintenance and safety performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support injury-free team performance.
• Serve as a technical resource for manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and maintenance protocols.
• Apply knowledge of DCS controls, high-voltage equipment, PLCs, line drives, instrumentation, and data-acquisition systems.
• Co-lead, coach, and develop a unionized primary maintenance workforce of approximately 22 employees.
• Support craft training plans and foster a continuous-learning culture.
• Partner with Production to improve machine performance, efficiency, and overall plant reliability.
• Lead change effectively while encouraging employee engagement, open communication, teamwork, trust, and respect.
• Ensure supervisory practices are consistent with the facility collective agreement and support grievance resolution.
