Job summary

North American Stainless in Ghent, KY seeks a professional Engineer to provide engineering services and technical support for maintenance and operations. You will redesign and retrofit equipment to improve quality, productivity, and OEE while ensuring downtime is minimized.

The role collaborates with maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance programs, manage work orders, and coordinate spare parts.

Qualifications

• Requires a technical degree or higher with relevant industrial experience.
• Basic computer literacy and software usage required.
• Supervisory experience in a plant environment preferred.
• At least 1 year in an industrial setting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and sets priority for electrical engineers and technicians.
• Analyzes electrical equipment problems to improve quality and production line availability.
• Redesigns or retrofits electrical equipment to upgrade performance.
• Develops cost estimates, writes work orders, and procures materials.
• Prepares and implements Preventative and Predictive Maintenance programs.
• Provides technical support to Maintenance and Operations to reduce downtime.
• Defines and controls work orders, spares, and maintenance procedures.
• Ensures spare parts availability to minimize downtime.
