Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Facility Operations Manager for our Washington, D.C. location. The successful candidate will lead facility operations, ensuring service quality and system reliability. This position requires at least 8 years of experience and relevant certifications.

In addition to a competitive hourly wage between $50.00 to $60.00, the role offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and retirement plans. Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence and teamwork.

Physical requirements involve manual labor and the ability to work at heights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED.
• State Certified Journeyman’s License or VMET Certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of power density and parity with HVAC system capacities.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and their components.
• Must be committed to excellence and generate a high quality of work.
• Must consistently report to work on time, work well with other employees to accomplish a common goal, and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct managerial leadership for assigned shift personnel.
• Lead daily facility operations and maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Prioritize and assign technician activities based on safety and operational impact.
• Inspect facilities, monitor system conditions, and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate shift reports and CMMS records.
• Enforce safety requirements and provide coaching for employees.
