Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an Energy Marshall (Electrical LOTO Coordinator) to lead electrical LOTO, energy isolation, and energization on large-scale data center projects in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will serve as site authority for electrical energy control, ensuring NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA compliance while promoting a strong safety culture.

Candidates should have 5+ years of electrical field experience and ability to read one-line diagrams; strong communication and safety focus are essential

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical field experience in commercial/industrial construction, preferably with data centers.
• Ability to read and understand electrical one-line diagrams and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce electrical LOTO and energy isolation procedures.
• Review Energy Isolation Plans, Energization Plans, JHAs, and electrical permits.
• Audit and monitor electrical energy control during construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate safe testing and operation of electrical and MEP systems.
• Serve as the single point of authority for electrical energy control.
• Train employees on electrical LOTO and energy isolation processes.
• Maintain compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and client requirements.
• Communicate with project leadership, safety teams, and clients.
