Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician certification/license or eligibility for reciprocity with Alaska.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, mining safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a working supervisor, directly participating in installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while overseeing daily activities of site electricians.
• Supervise and coordinate daily tasks, ensuring all electrical work meets quality standards, safety procedures, and project specifications.
• Assign responsibilities, monitor team progress, and evaluate performance of electrical crew members.
• Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in compliance with mining regulations and safety standards.
• Lead regular safety meetings and ensure completion of required safety documentation.
• Review and submit accurate daily and weekly time entries for assigned personnel in a timely manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to maintain optimal function and minimize unplanned outages.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide hands-on support and direction for resolution.
• Coordinate closely with other departments and subcontractors to align electrical activities with broader project timelines and goals.
