Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in Huntington Beach, CA to lead a crew on electrical construction projects. You will ensure work complies with NEC, state and local codes, coordinate material readiness, and maintain daily as-builts while upholding safety standards.

Responsibilities include effective communication with foremen and crew, timely on-site starts, and maintaining high productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Electrical apprenticeship or journeyman license required.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and installation methods required.
• Strong communication with foreman and crew, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of electricity laws and electrical systems.
• Ability to analyze problems, prioritize tasks, and plan ahead.
• Ability to read technical instructions and interpret electrical drawings.
• Basic math and use of electrical formulas.
• Attention to detail in task execution and documentation.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment for safe, productive work.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to visualize electrical layouts.

Responsibilities

• Understand assigned portion of the project thoroughly.
• Communicate effectively with foreman and crew.
• Be courteous and cordial to customers.
• Ensure all work meets NEC and applicable codes.
• Ensure proper materials are on site for required work.
• Confirm materials ordered were received.
• Manage crew and time to sustain productivity and quality.
• Set high performance and quality standards.
• Establish project goals and monitor progress toward them.
• Utilize the Prefab shop to support project needs.
• Anticipate problems and act before they arise.
• Lead the team as an enthusiastic, motivating supervisor.
• Ensure crew starts on time and adheres to breaks and schedules.
• Maintain accurate as-builts daily or weekly.
• Follow Bergelectric’s Employee Handbook and safety policies.
