Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Project Manager to steer planning, coordination, and execution of electrical systems in data-center construction. This on-site role requires coordinating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

You will review designs, manage budgets, oversee testing and commissioning, and support post-construction activities for hyperscale environments at our Las Vegas site.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field plus eight years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all electrical-related concerns, coordinating with project leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate mechanical systems into project designs, addressing conflicts and confirming seamless execution.
• Confirm adherence to OSHA regulations, project-specific safety guidelines, and environmental and sustainability standards.
• Maintain detailed records of test results, certifications, and compliance reports for final project handover.
• Track electrical-related costs, monitor expenditures, and manage budgets to prevent cost overruns while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with contract requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
• Supervise electrical subcontractors, confirming proper sequencing of installations and adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Oversee system testing, inspections, and commissioning processes to confirm electrical components function correctly and meet performance requirements.
• Coordinate client outage/shutdown procedures and notify relevant parties of test failures while planning corrective actions.
• Participate in post-construction evaluations and warranty follow-ups to address system performance issues and provide long-term operational support.
