Applied Digital is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support operations at our data center facility in Jamestown, North Dakota. This role installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical systems to ensure uptime, safety, and code compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Journeyman Electrician license for North Dakota (or reciprocity), with at least 4 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems, and strong knowledge of NEC and electrical safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues with breakers, generators, UPS, and other equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Adhere to safety procedures and NEC/local regulations.
• Document maintenance activities and material usage; support upgrades.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.

Position Summary:

Applied Digital is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to support operations at our advanced data center facility. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure operational continuity, safety, and code compliance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial or industrial environments and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including panels, conduits, lighting, motors, and control circuits.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues involving breakers, generators, UPS systems, and other high-demand equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
• Ensure of work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and material usage. Support electrical components for expansion or upgrade projects.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency electrical issues when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of North Dakota or Reciprocal).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors, hot/cold, confined spaces).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in data centers, hospitals, or other mission‑critical facilities.
• Familiarity with medium‑ and low‑voltage systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Basic computer skills (email, work order systems, etc.).
• Communication: Clear verbal and written communication to document incidents and ensure proper shift handoffs.
• Collaboration: Ability to work closely with team members, supervisors, and cross‑functional partners.
• Adaptability: Flexible in responding to changes in process, tools, environment, and shift assignments.
• Accountability: Takes ownership of assigned tasks and follows through with minimal supervision.
• Attention to Detail: Maintains thorough and accurate logs, inspections, records, and documentation.
• Time Management: Manages time effectively to meet performance expectations and service levels.
