Job summary

Oshkosh Defense, an Oshkosh company in Oshkosh, WI, is seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience with vehicle control and embedded systems.

You will work with Electrical and Software Engineers on prototype builds, assist with testing, troubleshoot, and document results while learning CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communications using industry tools on real programs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support Electrical and Software Engineers in the design and integration of vehicle control/embedded systems development.
• Follow project on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production build and provide technical assistance.
• Learn vehicle troubleshooting and effective documentation skills.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
• Learn and execute test cases to validate functionality, performance, and safety-critical behavior of embedded systems.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related degree
