Job summary

You will support sub-assembly design through manufacturing, initial testing, integration onto the unmanned aircraft, and collaborate with peers in a team environment. Responsibilities include integrating avionics and payloads, designing cables and harnesses, generating cables diagrams and BOMs, and conducting integration tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline; substitute equivalent experience.
• General understanding of engineering concepts, principles and theory with ability to apply them safely and compliantly.
• Ability to quickly understand new concepts and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interface with professionals and present results.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; extended hours as required; DoD clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate avionics module and payloads into unmanned aircraft systems.
• Design cables and wire harnesses interconnecting equipment.
• Generate system cable interconnect diagrams, wiring schematics, lengths, routing, and BOMs.
• Perform integration tests to verify functional operation.
• Develop test fixtures and procedures for system-level testing.
• Document findings and communicate results to project engineering staff.
• Adhere to airworthiness and military standards.
• Observe laws and regulations in all business conduct.
• Work safely following established procedures.
