Job summary

Air National Guard Units in the District of Columbia area seeks an Electrical Integrated Systems Mechanic (Title 32) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics test stations, ECM Pods, and related subsystems. The position involves working with LRUs, supporting software/hardware test stations, and ensuring compliance with applicable technical publications and certifications.

Qualifications

• Mandatory high school diploma.
• Completion of high school courses in physics, algebra, trigonometry and computer principles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes performance, tests, inspects, troubleshoots, identifies and isolates malfunctions; disassembles, modifies or repairs and reassembles test stations or ECM Pods and peripherals.
• Modifies and updates avionics Pods, support equipment and software according to technical publications; analyzes program data to determine adequacy of testing and troubleshooting.
• Connects testing equipment to interface test stations with aircraft systems or Pods to enable maintenance/repair of PODs or LRUs.
• Collaborates with engineers/technicians to develop/modify software, interfaces, extender equipment, and validates technical data.
