Job summary

dsm-firmenich in Princeton, NJ seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician for 1st shift to maintain and repair plant electrical distribution, instrumentation, and controls. You’ll work with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and 480VAC systems to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years electrical/instrumentation experience.
• Trade school, military, or industrial EI&C education; ISA Level 1 certification preferred.
• Familiar with 480VAC systems, tools, schematics, and integrating electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLCs/HMIs and related control systems (Wonderware/PanelView) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical distribution panels.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480VAC to 24VDC systems and Motor Control Centers.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives and other electronically controlled equipment.
• Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot process instrumentation equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC and HMI programming.
