The role requires a HS diploma and 5 years in instrumentation calibration, with familiarity in AC/DC circuits and cross-functional communication. On-site role with strong initiative and safety focus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 5 years of instrumentation application and calibration experience.
  • Familiarity with AC/DC circuits and wiring.
  • Ability to read technical literature and communicate across teams.
  • Experience entering repair records into CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Select instrumentation based on applications and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation systems.
  • Calibrate and maintain calibration records for ISO and other regs.

Job description

Position Overview

As an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician on Mercury Marine’s Engine Test Services team, you will be responsible for instrumentation application, repairs, calibrations, and a variety of AC & low voltage DC electrical repairs and troubleshooting. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative and has a strong understanding of instrumentation and application, along with AC & DC electrical aptitude.

Essential Functions
  • Provide instrumentation selection based on various applications
  • Instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs
  • Perform calibrations and maintain instrumentation calibration records for ISO and other regulatory requirements
  • Utilize various software systems to perform instrumentation calibrations
  • Manage instrumentation asset management system
  • Complete minor electrical installs and repairs as well as control panel wiring and layout
  • Create and manage work orders using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Assist in developing and documenting preventive maintenance and calibration procedures
  • Ensure all work complies with Mercury Marine’s Safety & Regulatory standards
  • Maintain a customer‑centric approach in all interactions and service delivery
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience with instrumentation application and calibration
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of AC/DC circuits and wiring
  • Ability to read technical literature, follow oral instructions, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and customers
  • Familiarity with entering accurate repair records into CMMS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in a technical/electrical field
  • State electrical license
Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this position is $54,300 – $85,700 annually. Base pay will vary depending on experience and other factors. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus program.
