Job Overview

The E&I Technician provides electrical and instrumentation support across Plains assets, including installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems. Responsibilities include performing scheduled and non-scheduled tasks at various facilities, often in challenging environments, with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Perform all Junior E&I Technician duties with minimal supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment referencing vendor manuals.
• Maintain calibration and troubleshoot control systems and devices.
• Service control valves, regulators, and safety systems.
• Participate in emergency response and safety checks.
• Assist in construction, commissioning, and special projects.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency situations promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of 2nd or 3rd year of a trades apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, maps, and manuals; knowledge of electrical codes and safety practices.
• Experience with high voltage systems, protective devices, PLCs, and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and a clean driving record.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Legally authorized to work in the posting country.
