Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies seeks an Electrical & Instrumentation QC Inspector in a night shift role. The position focuses on ensuring quality of craft personnel and installed equipment aligns with project plans, specifications, and codes.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, report preparation with photos, and coordinating with MOPO, shutdown, commissioning, and start-up teams. Strong knowledge of SCADA is valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Superintendent with degree, or 5+ years without.
• B.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred w/ 4+ years Construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Assures work on-site meets applicable codes and specifications.
• Safely observe and carefully prepare inspection reports with photos and illustrations.
• Performs task assignments for MOPO, Shutdown, Commissioning, and Start-Up Teams.
• Reviews turnover packages prior to Commissioning Startup Up handoff.
• Surveillance of General and Electrical production teams’ installations as it relates to Medium Voltage Electrical, Process Control Instrumentation, SCADA and MODCOM.
• Inspection of conduit support racks, conduit installation, control piping, tubing, wiring, instruments, valves, SCADA and communication systems, and all related equipment.
• Conduct visual and analytical inspection of equipment to verifying proper operation.
