Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is hiring an Electrical Project Engineer to join a multi‑discipline engineering team. You will support capital projects from scope through commissioning, act as SME, and coordinate with project managers, designers, and operations to deliver on-time, within scope, and within budget.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with electrical design and control systems.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, electronic, instrument control or related engineering discipline.
• P.E. license is a plus.
• 5+ years of applicable industry experience.
• Experience with third‑party engineering firms is preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, Low/Medium voltage codes.
• Experience in designing power systems, distribution, and related infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for capital projects from scope development through commissioning.
• Serve as discipline SME and ensure projects meet standards and regulations.
• Lead design deliverables with project team including schematics and control schemes.
• Oversee commissioning of power systems, panels, instrumentation and SCADA.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with standards.
