Job summary

Domtar Plymouth, NC is seeking an Electrical/Instrument Maintenance (All Levels) for a full-time permanent role in our Electrical Maintenance department. The position focuses on maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include testing, calibrating, preventive maintenance, and installing instruments on plant equipment, with potential shift rotations including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical electrical assessment completion required.
• Ability to work varying hours including shift, weekends and holidays.
• OT availability and emergency call-ins may be required.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Wear required PPE in industrial conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests and maintenance procedures for instruments measuring flow, level, pressure, temperature and other variables.
• Calibrate components and instruments per manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance and complete related reports.
• Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes.
• Advise process operators on instrumentation-related issues.

Education

Associate's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation

One year related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience

The location in Plymouth, (North Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Electrical/Instrument Maintenance (All Levels). This job is full-time permanent.

Domtar is seeking safety-oriented individuals of all skill levelsto join ourmaintenanceteamin ourElectrical and Instrumentationdepartmentat thePlymouth, North Carolinamill. The primary function of theElectrical and Instrumentation Departmentis to maintain equipment to keep it running smoothly, perform tests and calibrations, repair or replace components and troubleshoot equipment operational problems. Must have a personal dedication to safety, including proactive support of efforts to create a cultureof safety excellence.

Domtar requires participation in a structured apprentice program. Successful applicants must be able to advance toa total ofthreeskills within the apprentice program if they are hired. KeyResponsibilities:

• Perform tests and maintenance procedures for instruments used for measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, chemical composition and other variables in manufacturing and processing.
• Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports.
• Install control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment andprocesses.
• Consult with and advise processoperators.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma orGED.
• Successful completion of technical electrical assessment.
• Available to work varying hours that may include shift,weekends,andholidays.
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime and respond toemergency call-ins.
• Passpre-employment background check and drugscreen.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment.
• Work in industrial conditions (i.e., warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, and heavy machinery or working at heights with proper safety training and safety protection.

Entry E/I Requirements:Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in the Electrical or Instrumentation field or one years related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.

AdvancedE/I Requirements:Candidates must have anAssociate's Degreein the Electrical or Instrumentation field and one year related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience or three years related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.

Journeyman E/I Requirements:Candidates must have an Associate's Degree in the Electrical or Instrumentation field and two years related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience or five years related industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the Pulpand Paper industry.
