Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Technical Apprentice in East Peoria, IL to join a growth-focused culture. The program includes 50 weeks of on-the-job training with milestones and potential promotion upon completion.

You will install, program, start-up, certify and train on Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects, with emphasis on basic construction, electrical and low-voltage work. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience
• Minimum Experience: Basic construction with some level of electrical or a low voltage background
• Preferred Experience: (but not required):

Responsibilities

• Installing, programming, system start-up/check-out, certification, and related customer training on assigned Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation projects which are typically small to medium projects that are often less complex.
• May work on larger projects with greater complexity as needed and able.
• Delivers assigned projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules with guidance as needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
