Job summary

Capital Heating & Cooling is seeking a skilled electrician for residential and light commercial work in the Birmingham area. The role involves installing electrical systems and standby generators, wiring ATS/disconnects, and ensuring compliance with inspections.

We value a positive, professional attitude and hands-on experience with tools and testing equipment. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, with 40–45 hours per week, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a family-owned company

Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial electrical systems.
• Perform electrical installation of residential standby generator systems.
• Install and wire automatic transfer switches, disconnects, breakers, and load-management modules.
• Identify when electrical service, panel, or circuit upgrades are required.
• Ensure installations pass required electrical inspections.
• Collaborate with team members on complex projects and exceed customer expectations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build trust with customers.
• Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and technologies.
• Monday through Friday, averaging 40 to 45 hours per week.
