Job summary

Capital Heating & Cooling is seeking a skilled electrician for residential and light commercial work in the Birmingham area. The role involves installing electrical systems and standby generators, wiring ATS/disconnects, and ensuring compliance with inspections.

We value a positive, professional attitude and hands-on experience with tools and testing equipment. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, with 40–45 hours per week, and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a family-owned company

Electrical experience required.

Proficient with hand tools and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Install residential and light commercial electrical systems.
Perform electrical installation of residential standby generator systems.
Install and wire automatic transfer switches, disconnects, breakers, and load-management modules.
Identify when electrical service, panel, or circuit upgrades are required.
Ensure installations pass required electrical inspections.
Collaborate with team members on complex projects and exceed customer expectations.
Provide exceptional customer service and build trust with customers.
Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and technologies.
Monday through Friday, averaging 40 to 45 hours per week.
