Qualifications

• 3+ years within the last 5 years of full-time electrical work experience as a licensed journeyman or master electrician.
• Massachusetts Master or Journeyman Electrician license issued by the State Board of Examiners of Electricians.
• Working knowledge of PC operations and MS Windows programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical wiring and fixture installations for compliance with Massachusetts Electrical Code safety requirements.
• Evaluate wiring installations for conformance and give final approval before energizing.
• Investigate property complaints and issue correction orders; gather evidence for prosecutions and testify in court as needed.
• Prepare related reports and assist supervisors on complex cases.
