Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Base Operations Support contract at MacDill AFB, Florida. You will evaluate, plan, and sustain electrical infrastructure serving facilities and utilities, performing analyses, condition assessments, and reliability improvements to enhance performance and readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and a minimum of three years of related experience, with strong communication and analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Minimum of three (3) years of engineering experience in electrical systems, facilities engineering, infrastructure engineering, utility systems, construction engineering, maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of construction management software, project closeout procedures, preventive maintenance, and construction terminology and processes.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety practices, maintenance principles, and engineering documentation.
• Experience supporting building, facility, infrastructure, or utility projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise related to electrical distribution systems, facility electrical systems, lighting systems, emergency power systems, generators, and associated infrastructure.
• Conduct assessments of electrical assets and systems to identify performance issues, reliability concerns, maintenance needs, and infrastructure improvement opportunities.
• Perform engineering analyses and develop recommendations for repair, replacement, modernization, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Support facility and infrastructure planning activities by identifying future electrical system requirements and investment priorities.
• Review electrical designs, studies, and technical documents to ensure systems are practical, maintainable, and aligned with project objectives.
