ColonialWebb seeks aspiring electricians to join our Richmond team. You will learn from experienced electricians while performing installation, wiring, and repair tasks on electrical systems and components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ experience in power and control wiring, and commercial electrical installations (preferred).
• 1–2 years’ experience in retrofits, construction projects, and installations for electrical and control systems (preferred).
• Trade school completion (preferred).
• Ability to work cooperatively under supervision.
• Know-how of NEC and applicable local codes and OSHA safety regulations.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Electricians by performing electrical installation and repair operations to electrical systems and control systems.
• Assist Electricians by installing and repairing equipment such as relays, starters, switches, motors, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, power distribution centers, heat tracing systems, and cable trays.
• Help determine conduit sizes, pull conductors, make terminations and install junction boxes.
• Support wiring and other electrical projects relative to retrofits, construction projects, installations, equipment replacements, and other service projects.
• Perform other duties such as, but not limited to, delivering parts and equipment, cleaning up work areas, and organizing work and vehicle storage areas.

What you will do:

What we are looking for:

• One to two years’ experience in power and control wiring, and commercial electrical installations (preferred, but not required)
• One to two years’ experience in working on retrofits, construction projects, and installations for electrical and control systems (preferred, but not required)
• Completion, or in the process of completing, applicable trade school (preferred, but not required)
• Ability to work cooperatively under supervision
• Possess entry level knowledge of NEC and applicable local codes and OSHA safety regulations
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
• Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
