Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. in Noblesville, Indiana is seeking an entry-level electrical helper to support electricians with installations, alterations, and additions of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

You will learn to handle conduit, wires, and related hardware under direct supervision, adhere to safety procedures, and develop skills in basic electrical tasks while working on varied heights and environments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified to operate platform and boom lifts, or able to obtain certification upon hire.
• Able to learn basic hand conduit bending to ensure timely installations.
• Able to perform work at heights up to 90’, from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks, roofs, etc.
• Understands lock out tag out procedures and safety rules.
• Reads and understands labels, instructions and manuals accurately.
• Understands verbal instructions and heeds safety warnings.

Responsibilities

• Reports to assigned job site location on time, as directed
• Maintains and properly stores tools, materials, and equipment
• Organizes materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work area
• Possesses ability to dig trenches, using hand tools or equipment as necessary
• Mounts and installs assigned hardware (conduit, wires, and strapping) as directed
• Accurately identifies colors of wires and conductors
• Safely performs assigned tasks under the direct supervision of an assigned electrician
