Job summary

CRV Electronics Corporation in Spring Grove, IL, seeks an assembler to build wiring harnesses and cable assemblies under direct supervision. You will use hand tools to prepare, assemble and test harnesses and ensure proper retention of connections.

Prior assembly experience is preferred. The role requires good manual dexterity, color discrimination, and the ability to stand for extended periods in a well-lit facility. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to differentiate colors.
• Reading labels and simple instructions.
• Ability to follow simple oral and/or written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Selection, placement, and formation of wire lead on harness form-boards.
• Application of cable tie fasteners using hand-held tools.
• Application of insulation, tubing and braided sleeve over wires.
• Plugging terminated wires into connector housing and testing harnesses.
• Use of hand tools to assemble electrical components.
