Job summary

Vertiv seeks an Electrical Hardware Integration Engineer to join the Advanced Monitoring and Controls Team in Westerville, Ohio. You will lead hardware integration for PCBs and assemblies across the Vertiv portfolio, collaborating with firmware and design teams to specify, design, test, and deploy high-volume production solutions.

The role emphasizes system architectures for distributed sensors and controls, EMC risk mitigation, and hands-on verification across global labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or foreign equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Write specifications for Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) to meet top level requirements.
• Define additional requirements and specifications outside top-level requirements.
• Create system level architectures for distributed microprocessor-based sensors and controls.
• Create hardware test plans for design verification and factory verification of PWB.
• Create requirements documents for factory test verification of PWB.
• Manage vendors in creating factory test verification equipment and deploy to contract manufacturers.
• Evaluate EMC risk in PWB and mitigate design risks.
• Troubleshoot EMC test failures and implement corrective actions.
• Recommend future design changes to prevent warranty issues.
• Locate, test alternate parts and evaluate old designs for risk.
