Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering team in Fullerton, CA, onsite. The role supports the JPALS program with hardware design, lab testing, and hands-on integration of RF, power, and data subsystems.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree (or higher) with 2+ years of relevant experience, strong circuit and system design skills, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with circuit design.
• Experience with testing units and systems in a lab environment.
• Experience researching specifications for COTS components and performing selection trade studies.
• Experience with design and production phases of product development.
• STEM degree or higher, with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate equipment and lab set-up for testing.
• Design and build prototypes with mechanical and electrical components.
• Install and swap units into system or test string, including antennas, radios, amplifiers, power supplies, servers, routers, processors.
• Conduct unit and system level testing in a lab environment.
• Research components for hardware design selection.
• Assemble rack assemblies with units.
• Create wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Create and release engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware development.
