Job summary
Collins Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an onsite role in Melbourne, Florida, to design and maintain computer hardware components for avionics systems.
You will review obsolete parts, design analog and RF circuits, and supervise PCB layout, with hands-on troubleshooting and verification to meet specifications.
Qualified candidates have STEM degree or advanced degree and 2+ years of experience; U.S. Person is required for ITAR access.
Qualifications
- Requires STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
- U.S. Person required due to ITAR/EAR access.
- 2+ years designing and analyzing analog and RF circuits.
- Strong problem solving and ability to troubleshoot complex hardware.
Responsibilities
- Review obsolete parts and resolve obsolescence.
- Design and analyze analog and RF circuits using schematic capture and simulators.
- Characterize analog/RF signals with scopes and analyzers.
- Design digital circuits including processors, memory and interfaces.
- Supervise PCB layout and provide technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot in the lab and perform validation to meet specs.
- Contribute to engineering estimates for moderate scope.
- Review defect trends and drive process improvements.
- Document communications and collaborate across teams.
