Job summary

Canyon State Electric is seeking a General Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee electricians at construction sites. As the point of reference for workers and supervisors, this role is crucial to project completion.

A solid background in electrical construction and strong leadership are essential. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical construction with leadership, quick decision‑making, organization, and a safety‑first mindset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial/industrial foreman electrical experience.
  • Experience working in data centers and high-rise projects preferred.
  • Experience leading crews of 20+ employees.
  • Advanced abilities in reading plans, submittals, and specifications.
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70 and current electrical codes and installation methods.
  • Well-versed in the installation of power systems – lighting, fire protection, security, and data networks.
  • Ability to order and track materials, perform job cost projections, and develop as-built documents.
  • Proficiency in all construction software as required.
  • Clean background and driving record.
  • Ability to run projects $5M and larger.
  • Must be able to reach overhead, lift 75 pounds, and push/pull materials.
  • Must be able to work in various positions (stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, etc.).
  • Work is regularly performed outdoors with temperatures exceeding one hundred degrees.

  • Create a material buy‑out before the job begins.
  • Plan work and labor requirements for the project at least three weeks in advance.
  • Complete As‑Built drawings and order materials on a weekly basis.
  • File daily reports and document all incidents.
  • Manage all project close‑out processes and budget control (manage cost on site).
  • Communicate efficiently with the Project Management team and the customer/General Contractor.
  • Draft RFIs and submit them to the PM team.
  • Enforce all HR/Company policies, safety policies, and perform disciplinary action with the crew as needed.
  • Enter and approve timecards for the assigned crew.

Pay Range

$45–55 per Hour
