Job summary

CoVolt Power AHV is hiring for a field-based Electrical General Foreman role supporting solar construction and electrical scope. The position requires performing trenching, cable installs, splices, testing, and SCADA equipment setup in outdoor environments.

Candidates should have GED or equivalent education, strong teamwork, and safety commitments. Training others is part of the role, with emphasis on quality, productivity, and incident prevention.

Qualifications

• Experience on solar construction projects preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform DC/ MV trenching, cable installation, and conduit work.
• Install SCADA equipment, Cabling, combiner boxes, and terminations.
• Conduct labeling, fiber termination, and splicing tasks.
• Conduct PD, IV, VOC, and IR testing as part of field checks.
• Train others on underground work and safety procedures.
• Document field decisions and maintain production tracking.

Position Summary:

This is a field-based, hands-on position in which successful candidates contribute to the construction of a solar field. This position supports the electrical scope.

*Electrical General Foreman must be able to train others on all aspects of Underground. *

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• Models behavior in safety, quality of work, attendance and punctuality, productivity, teamwork
• Actively embodies Signal’s Core Principles and the One Team Approach: including planning, communication, and collaboration – especially modeling dispute resolution
• Provides timely documentation of field decisions and reporting, such as Tier Boards and Production Tracking.
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Education:

• GED or equivalent education
