Job summary

Saber Power Services, based in Houston, TX, seeks a Project Development Engineer- Electrical to translate client needs into engineering deliverables early in project development. You will align with Sales, Estimating, Engineering, Procurement and PM to form conceptual solutions and robust project scope for accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Typically 3+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience in project development, estimating, or FEL/FEED.
• Ability to develop conceptual engineering solutions and technical documentation with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop the technical basis of design, scope boundaries, exclusions, and design criteria for project development.
• Prepare conceptual engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, layouts, BOMs, equipment specs, data sheets, and procurement packages.
• Support estimating by developing quantity takeoffs, labor assumptions, equipment selections, and schedule inputs.
• Collaborate with estimators, project managers, procurement, engineers, and discipline specialists to define complete, estimate-ready project definitions.
• Identify risks, constructability concerns, and design uncertainties from client requirements and existing site data.
