Job summary

Saber Power Services, headquartered in Houston, TX, seeks a Project Development Designer to translate concepts into conceptual design packages for early-stage project work. You will prepare drawings, layouts, and documentation to support estimating and proposal efforts.

In this front‑end role, you will collaborate with engineers, estimators, and procurement, apply drafting standards, and help refine project definitions before detailed engineering begins, contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in drafting/engineering tech.
• 2–5 years with experience producing engineering drawings or design documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and ability to interpret drawings and technical markups.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, revision control, and engineering documentation.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment layouts, site plans, and preliminary design packages for project development and estimating.
• Develop estimate-ready drawing packages communicating scope and engineering intent.
• Collaborate with engineers, estimators, procurement, and project development personnel on conceptual designs.
• Interpret concepts into coordinated design documentation and maintain drawing revisions and records.
• Contribute to design standard improvements and cross-functional design reviews.
• Support early-stage project development activities and design reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
