Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our thermal practice, supporting field investigations and forensic consulting across industrial projects. You will analyze electrical systems, apply NEC/NFPA/IEEE standards, and prepare technical reports under supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, EIT or ability to obtain a PE, 2+ years of related experience, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
E.I.T. or ability to obtain P.E. license required; P.E. license preferred.
2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, consulting, or related field.

Responsibilities

Assists with field investigations of electrical systems, equipment failures, and related electrical engineering matters.
Performs engineering analysis under supervision and applies knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, OSHA).
Assists in the preparation of high-quality technical reports.
Supports deposition and trial prep; may provide testimony as experience develops.
Assists in conducting client presentations.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical support and gather information.
Seeks technical advice and guidance from more experienced consultants.
Participates in continuing education and professional development activities.
