Job summary

Trueline’s client is a well‑established commercial electrical contractor seeking a Commercial Electrical Foreman / Project Superintendent in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This hands‑on leadership role directs field operations on complex projects to drive productivity and safety while delivering on a growing backlog of work.

You will mentor apprentices and coordinate with Project Managers and General Contractors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial electrical construction leadership experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and electrical plans.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day field operations on commercial electrical construction projects.
• Manage and direct electrical crews, subcontractors, and workflow activities.
• Coordinate manpower planning, production schedules, and project execution.
• Oversee installation of feeders, branch systems, underground rough‑in, lighting, devices, equipment, and specialty systems.
• Maintain project schedules while ensuring quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce OSHA compliance standards.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Track project progress through daily logs and production reporting.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and field leadership.
• Assist with material planning, procurement coordination, and short‑term scheduling.
• Mentor apprentices, helpers, and junior electricians in the field.

Trueline's client, a well-established commercial electrical contractor with decades of success across Louisiana, is seeking a Commercial Electrical Foreman / Project Superintendent to join their team in the Baton Rouge, LA area. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an experienced commercial electrical professional who can lead field operations on complex projects while helping drive productivity, safety, and successful project delivery across a growing backlog of work.

What You’ll Do as the Commercial Electrical Foreman / Project Superintendent:

• Lead day‑to‑day field operations on commercial electrical construction projects
• Manage and direct electrical crews, subcontractors, and workflow activities
• Coordinate manpower planning, production schedules, and project execution
• Oversee installation of feeders, branch systems, underground rough‑in, lighting, devices, equipment, and specialty systems
• Maintain project schedules while ensuring quality workmanship and jobsite safety

Must-Haves as the Commercial Electrical Foreman / Project Superintendent:

• 5+ years of commercial electrical construction leadership experience
• Proven experience leading crews and managing commercial electrical projects independently
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, installations, and field operations
• Experience coordinating manpower, schedules, and production activitiesAbility to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and electrical plans
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Stable work history with a long‑term career mindset
• Valid driver’s license

Nice-to-Haves as the Commercial Electrical Foreman / Project Superintendent:

• Experience on healthcare, institution, higher education, manufacturing, or large commercial projects
• OSHA and electrical safety training certifications
• NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training
• NCCER Electrical Certification
• EWP and Forklift Certifications
• First Aid / CPR / AED Training
• Experience managing projects valued at $2M-$10M+
