Job summary

Bergelectric Corp. is seeking a Foreman to oversee electrical installations, manage crews, and ensure work complies with project specs and electrical codes.

The role involves coordinating with general contractors and customers, supervising labor, and controlling safety, quality, and costs on site. The Foreman will monitor productivity, schedule manpower, procure materials, and maintain accurate as-builts while adhering to company policies and local labor laws.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Must hold a current Journeyman Wireman license (if required by state/locality).
• Ability to order and track materials, project cost projections, and develop as-builts.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, lead times, and installation durations.
• Solid understanding of electrical codes and installation methods.
• Experience with power systems: lighting, fire protection, security, data networks.

Responsibilities

• Achieve productivity objectives by managing and assigning tasks to crew members and maintaining labor logs.
• Set project goals and monitor progress to achieve them.
• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of materials per procedures.
• Follow contract changes and notice-to-proceed policies.
• Utilize prefabrication facilities and company installation methods.
• Ensure safety equipment and tools are onsite and compliant.
• Provide notice of crew changes to supervisors and plan staffing.
• Communicate effectively with owners, architects, contractors, and crew.
