Job summary

Skillit is seeking a hands-on foreman to lead a crew of electricians on commercial construction sites in Raleigh, NC. You will assign daily tasks, coordinate materials and tools, and ensure safety and quality to keep projects on schedule.

In this role you will mentor journeymen and apprentices, maintain thorough project documentation, and communicate clearly with trades, site leadership, and subcontractors. OSHA 30 within 6 months is preferred; state journeyman license required.

Qualifications

• State journeyman electrician license required.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred; must complete within 6 months if not already.
• Proven experience supervising electrical crews on commercial projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication with crews and project stakeholders.
• Ability to read plans, track labor hours accurately and complete project paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical assignments and direct crew work to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Coordinate materials, tools and equipment deliveries to keep crews productive.
• Monitor and enforce safety practices; address hazards and report incidents promptly.
• Train and mentor journeymen and apprentices to develop skills and improve productivity.
• Maintain accurate project documentation: daily reports, incident logs and crew timecards.
• Communicate scope, goals and updates to crews, subcontractors and site supervisors.
