Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead electrical teams on construction projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role requires hands-on supervision, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of electrical installation practices to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate will interpret drawings, coordinate with other trades, and manage a diverse crew, while maintaining compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a valid Trade Test Certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of South African electrical regulations and standards.
• Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
• Residing in or willingness to relocate to the vicinity of Queenstown, Eastern Cape.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and direct electricians, apprentices, and laborers on construction sites.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with project plans, specifications, and relevant electrical codes (e.g., SANS 10142-1).
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols on site, conducting regular safety toolbox talks.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Coordinate electrical work with other construction trades to ensure seamless project flow.
• Manage the allocation of materials and tools to the electrical team.
• Inspect work progress and quality, identifying and rectifying any defects or non-compliance.
• Maintain daily work logs, including crew attendance, work performed, and site conditions.
• Assist in the planning and scheduling of electrical tasks in coordination with the project manager.
• Troubleshoot electrical installation issues encountered on site.
